All Newly Purchased Hino 300s to Include GPS

Hino is now including the latest GPS system as a standard feature across its range of lighter duty 300 series trucks.

The system is not limited to gps navigation features but also incorporates information on height and weight restrictions around bridges and roads, it also notifies the driver about speed limits, safety cameras, and driving regulations for the freight being hauled on their route.

The new system also uses pre-entered vehicle profile information to warn the driver if they are out of compliance on certain routes.

Road safety is Hino’s priority according to general manager Darren Salt.

“We build Hinos to be the safest and most efficient trucks on the market. By including this GPS System as a standard feature, we make it easier for new and experienced drivers to get behind the wheel,” Salt said in a statement.

Last year updates were made to 109,812 kilometres of road network, 50,832 street names and 32,200 speed limits within the system. By offering a free GPS update every three months, Hino 300 Series owners can drive the safest routes that suit their needs, free of charge.
